Welcome to Prince Edward Island! Prince Edward Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Canada, if not the world. We had only five nights to explore and I truly wish we had the whole summer. Gorgeous sandy beaches, lovely people, and incredibly delicious food make this province a wonderful place to visit. Actually, I learned something new about Prince Edward Island. The province is home to an incredible food culture and is the perfect place for any passionate foodie. We had no idea about the love of food on the island but it didn't take long for us to figure it out. From cooking lessons at the Table to one-of-a-kind experiences by the famous Canadian Chef, Michael Smith, our days were filled with tasty local delights. PEI was our third province visited on the Road to 150 Tour. Ca...

According to The Guardian, Charlottetown's and Prince Edward Islands local newspaper, this has been the heaviest snow fall winter on record. Winter hit us this year with a vengeance and mother nature did not even allow for a break in between as one system was moving out the other was very close behind keeping us indoors for many days at a time. I truly understand now why islanders head to the grocery store and stock up and buy supplies as they know the drill. Prince Edward Island, Canada is a great place to slow down, enjoy the sights, the sea salt air, slower traffic, hiking the trails, beaches, golfing, kayaking, fishing, collecting sea shells, restaurants, shopping, getting back to the quiet walks, reading a book and enjoying family, friends and new friends alike in a welcoming atm...

Students from around the world talk about their experience at the University of Prince Edward Island.
This video was filmed at the actual home that inspired the Anne of Green Gables and other books in the series. The farm is located in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island near the northern part of the island. It’s a beautiful drive coming from Charlottetown as you’ll pass through rolling farmlands, tiny fishing villages and see stunning seascapes (with red rocks like seen in the movie). The house is fully furnished and decorated as it would have been in the period of the books. If you’re an Anne of Green Gables fan and coming from a cruise ship, then if possible you’ll want to rent a car to come here rather than take a bus tour since none of the bus tours stay long enough for the true fan to adequately soak up the area and also visit the sizeable gift shop.
